Show me another »Protein in urine...awaiting test results!?
So I had a urinalysis last Wednesday morning, and the doctor checked it as soon as I supplied the urine sample, and she informed me that I had a rather high amount of protein in my urine, so they were going to send it to a lab for further testing. I'm afraid its diabetes, or kidney failure, and I'm very anxious awaiting the results! Now, my question basically, is
how long would this type of test take, being sent to an outside lab and all? I have no idea, and I also have no iidea what they're testing it for, or how. So if anyone can provide a little insight, it would be much appreciated.
And also, if anyone has any ideas about what it could be, (the high protein in the urine), that would be much appreciated also!
Thankyou. ***

The results should be available within a week.Perhaps you might be suffering from proteinuria which is a kidney problem as there is a protein leakage into your urine due to filtration problems in your kidneys.
