Is strong urine a symptom of diabetes? I am somewhat overweight and I am starting to get worried....?

Urine odor is related to the volume and concentration of a variety of chemicals excreted by the kidney. Normally, diluted urine doesn't have much odor. If you're dehydrated and your urine becomes highly concentrated, it can have a strong ammonia smell. Many foods and medications — such as asparagus or certain vitamins — also can affect the odor of urine.
Most changes in urine odor are temporary and don't indicate serious illness. But sometimes an unusual urine odor can be associated with an underlying medical condition, such as a urinary tract infection. If you're concerned about the odor of your urine, talk to your doctor.
You may just need to drink more water.
No, actually weak/clear urine due to frequent urination and intense thirst are diabetes symptoms. And weight loss, not weight gain. Did you recently start taking any multivitamins, or anything that has a lot of added vitamins? That would cause strong urine. So would being mildly dehydrated. Perhaps you need to drink more water?

Drink more water. Concentrated urine is a sign of dehydration.
If you are worried about diabetes, then get tested.
Ask for a Fasting Glucose Tolerance test,
and an HbA1c test every year.

Frequent urination is more of a sign. What you are describing sounds more like dehydration.
But, why worry???? Get yourself checked out by a doctor. The last thing you want to do is harm your health...nothing to mess around with. Good luck to you!
It is actually a symptom. But to make sure, go ask a doctor.
