Thought I was just over-reacting but could this really be diabetes?
Ok so for the past like 2 weeks I have had a few of the diabetes symptoms. Today I almost passed out this morning in the bathroom and then later at the mall. Also I was super thirsty and had to use the bathroom every hour. On the way home my hand just started tingeling and I didnt know why but I know it wasnt just asleep. here are my other symptoms:
*going the bathroom often!
*SUPER thirsty
*dry mouth
*sometimes I get super tired and just have to go take a nap
*dizzy when I stand up (almost passed out 3 times already)
*tingeling in my legs, feet and now hands
*I have lost 5 lbs. w/o trying to
*I get about 2 headaches like a day a while after I eat
*my skin has been very itchy
*I had my first bladder infection and yeast infection about a month a half ago
(I am healthy and in my weight range for my height)
Anyone have these symptoms before being diagnosed?
I have had a reading of 130 when I checked it at my neighbors house before but I have also had one like 95 too so I wasnt sure if I could be diabetic
you have common symptoms of being a type 1 diabetic. i have had type 1 for 10 years and my symptons were going to the bathroom alot. going to the bathroom alot means that you have high blood sugar. and being thirsty most of the time means the same thing. but, being shaky means that you have low blood sugar. you meantioned that you checked youreself @ 90 and 130, those are perfect numbers! last fall i was sick in the hospital and i had DKA (diabetic keeto accidosis) and like you i had lost around 5 or 10 pounds without meaning to. i hope you start feeling better and you dont have diabetes because it is terrible to have and everybody looks @ u different. good luck!
I suggest you get an A1c test. I had most of the same symptoms you have when I was diagnosed. The worst was the itching all over and being so thirsty. Now I have problems with my hands and feet tingling. As far as checking your blood sugar on your neighbor's meter - the range the doctors look for is between 90 and 120. So you aren't in bad shape there. But if you are diabetic, the numbers will stop being good. Good luck to you.
YES you could i would definately go to the doctor. my dad has diabetes. he was diagnosed at 18. like i said go to the doctor and tell him all the symptoms you've been having and tell him that you're worried that you might have diabetes.
It could be! Get tested but my friend had those problems. It turned out to be a low iron in between her periods. If your family has a history with diabetes that can be it too! Go to the doctor and get tested if it continues. I hope this helps! =]
Are you asking us to diagnose you? This is a very dangerous practice. You should see a physician if you are so concerned.
